Carl Bennet AB is a partner of the WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award. The award has been presented since 2000 and aims to recognise people or organisations that make important contributions to sustainable development.

The world-leading sustainability award

WIN WIN Gothenburg Sustainability Award, is an international prize that has been awarded annually since 2000 with the aims to recognise people or organizations that make important contributions to sustainable development and who are important role models. The award was instituted by the former chairman of the Gothenburg municipal board, Göran Johansson, and Carl Bennet.  The winner receives 1 million SEK. Former winners include Kofi Annan, Al Gore, Gro Harlem-Brundtland and IPBES. Every year a new theme is selected, where the theme for 2021 is anti-corruption.

Improving access to quality education

Carl Bennet AB is a partner of the non-profit organisation Pratham Sweden, whose mission is to improve the general primary and pre-school education for children in India. They also work to raise awareness on how the education gap in developing societies can be counteracted.

Supporting young students in India

Developing new education methods

The project Swedish Industry for Quality Education was initiated by Carl Bennet AB together with Arjo, Elanders, Getinge and six other Swedish companies.The aim is to ensure that 30.000 underprivileged children in India receive a three year education. Carl Bennet AB also funds research at the Stockholm School of Economics to evaluate the project as well as developing new and innovative education methods.

Nobel Week Dialogue

Carl Bennet AB is one of the sponsors of the annual Nobel Week Dialogue, a full day event and part of the official Nobel Week programme. Through lectures and panel discussions, the aim is to bring together Nobel Laureates, the world’s leading scientists, students, experts and decision-makers from all over the world.
Each conference addresses a specific topic related to current research and a current societal problem related to it. The conferences are organized annually the day before the Nobel Prize ceremony and have around 1,000 participants.

The purpose is to deepen the dialogue between the research community and the rest of society. Carl Bennet AB has been involved from the beginning, and the conference is held every other year in Gothenburg.

Universeum

Carl Bennet AB supports Universeum, Sweden’s national Science Center and a powerful arena for education in science, technology and sustainable development. Through this collaboration, Carl Bennet AB contributes to further strengthening education, innovative power and a sustainable development of society.

Generation Pep

Generation Pep is a non-profit organisation founded in 2016 through an initiative by the Swedish Crown Princess Couple’s foundation. The aim is to give young people and children the opportunity to live active and healthy lives.

By supporting the foundation, Carl Bennet AB contributes to spreading knowledge and creating engagement, to inspire and ensure a healthy lifestyle.
Create the best education possible

Teachers' Gala

Since 2016, the Teachers' Gala is an annual evening that awards prizes to prominent teachers through nominations from students. Students from Sweden's middle school and high school may nominate for the Teacher Gala's awards.

Through the Teachers' Gala, students highlight their favorite teachers and  role models in the profession that society can be inspired by.
Transforming children’s lives

Global Child Forum

Carl Bennet AB supports the non-profit organisation Global Child Forum, a leading forum for children’s rights and business dedicated to innovative thinking, knowledge-sharing and networking. The organisation believes in the power and responsibility of business, working in partnership with all parts of society, to create a prosperous, sustainable and just society for the world’s children.

Founded in 2009 by the Swedish Royal Family, the work is underpinned by the United Nations (UN) Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Children’s Rights and Business Principles.
